Students can also choose courses that are not restricted to exchange student. See more information regarding restrictions on this page: Academics | Maryland Global (umd.edu)

Be aware that you should not expect to take courses within Engineering, if you use this agreement. If you wish to take the courses at the School of Engineering, this agreement will most likely be a more suitable fit for you. You are however welcome to find courses at other parts of the university of Maryland, following the guidelines in the link in the previous paragraph.

MSc-students at DTU can also use this agreement, but they will be enrolled as undergraduate students at the university, and should take courses at the 4th year undergraduate level as they can usually be transfered to DTU as if they were MSc courses.

Financial Concerns
As an exchange student, you will not have to pay tuition for your semester abroad. That being said, North America will in many cases be a rather expensive place to study abroad, since a) insurance costs will usually be higher than at other destinations and b) there may be administrative fees at the university. The administrative fees and insurance usually amounts to between 500 and 1000 US Dollars per semester.

If you are concerned about your financial situation, it is worth considering other regions where the expenses will be lower.
