Course Restrictions:
All BSc courses are taught in Spanish.
MSc students must have completed and passed the equivalent of 210 ECTS to enroll in MSc courses and must comply with the prerequisites for each course. 
MSc courses are mainly taught in Spanish - one degree in English (see under "courses and programmes" for details).
The maximum number of ECTS the students could follow in another UPM Centre is 4,5 ECTS.
All BSc programmes are 4 years (240 ECTS).

Brief Description:
The Technical University of Madrid is a leading university in architecture and engineering education.
UPM has approximately 40.000 students, enrolled in undergraduate, master’s and doctorate programmes. Every year more than 1000 students go on Erasmus exchange and 700 international students come to UPM under this programme.  
The School of Industrial Engineering has approx. 4.500 students and was founded in 1845. Many candidates from ETSII pursue careers with Space and Aviation industries.

UPM includes four campuses – all within Madrid. The academic level is generally high within all areas of Engineering. UPM is committed to promoting the 17 SDGs with more than 200 research groups focusing on the key issues of the 2030 Agenda.

Academic Strengths:
UPM ETSII offers bachelor programmes in Industrial Technologies, Engineering Management, Chemical Engineering, and Energy Engineering, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering all taught in Spanish.

Student Life:
Clubs play a major role at the UPM. There are currently 195 clubs in operation, including activities ranging from all kinds of cultural pursuits such as cinema, theatre, tunas (traditional student musical groups) and photography to professionally-oriented clubs for exchange and research.

Senior students are responsible for mentoring new and visiting students, providing guidance in terms of academic and social integration as well as with the administrative procedures of UPM.

The MSc programme in Industrial Electronics is 100% taught in English. Master on Industrial Electronics | CEI – Centro de Electrónica Industrial (upm.es) 

Research projects at the different laboratories and labs may also be available to exchange students (Institute for Automotive Research; Institute for Nuclear Fusion; Center for Robotics and Automation; Center for Industrial Electronics; Center for Laser Technology; Mechanical Eng. Labs, and Electrical Eng. Labs).
