You can find which courses are offered using the course catalogue. It allows you to filter courses by school, language of instruction etc.
Course Restrictions: Most courses are taught in Spanish, but a few courses are taught in English and some courses are so called "English friendly" classes, which means that the course will be taught in Spanish, but the professor will take questions and give answers in English (Spanish B1 is required to participate). Please note that the course offer can change last minute, so you will likely have to be very flexible to do a full semester of courses in English.
Be aware that the so called "European Project Semester" is a 30 ECTS programme. This can only in rare cases be credit transferred to DTU and only to certain BEng programmes (if approved by Head of Studies). You can find general course restrictions here.
The majority of courses must be taken at host department. It is possible to attend up to 12 ECTS or 2 courses from other UPV schools. Please note that choosing courses outside of your host department may delay the course enrollment process. The schools give priority to their own students and exchange students before offering any possible free seats to students from other UPV schools.
Student Life: The School of Design Engineering is placed on the beautiful Vera campus in the city of Valencia. It is a pedestrian campus with over 106,000 m2 of green areas. They have outstanding sports facilities and you can choose from over 70 different sports: sailing, diving, sport fishing, fencing, climbing, archery, aikido, cycling, beach volleyball, pelota valenciana, etc. In addition, our sunny weather allows to enjoy the outdoor facilities throughout the year.
The UPV organizes exhibitions, festivals, workshops and all kinds of cultural activities in Valencia, Alcoy and Gandia. It has also entered into agreements with museums, cinemas, theatres and auditoriums under which students gain free admission. The UPV also has numerous students associations divided into different groups: scientific, cultural, technological... Exchange students are welcomed in all of them. You will find a relaxed atmosphere where you can combine your academic lessons, fun time and extracurricular training.

Housing: UPV does not arrange accommodation. However, if students indicate in their application that they would like to participate in the mentor program, their assigned mentor can help with the search for accommodation.
it is usually quite easy to find housing in private apartments near their 3 campuses any time of the year (both before arrival or in the first days of your stay). UPV keeps a database with information about students and individuals offering and requesting shared flats, stays with a family or flats to rent. There are also dorms around their campuses. The price for a room is around 250-350 euros in private accommodation and 600-700 euros (including a meal plan) in a dorm.
